Improving nutrition and access to healthy foods helps families thrive!
The Horn of Africa - Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia, as millions face starvation due to drought and famine. Pray for life-giving rain in these arid places.
The millions of women and young girls in Africa who are victims of sexual exploitation. Africa Oasis is finishing the editing and producing process for a sexual exploitation awareness & prevention toolkit of lessons to begin combatting this crisis. Pray for open doors among our national and local churches for these trainings, and pray for communities who will begin hearing about the realities of sexual exploitation and the threat to their children. Sexual exploitation and human trafficking are the work of the enemy, and we need prayers against the darkness that surrounds this issue.
The tens of millions of Africans who are displaced and forced from their homes due to natural disasters and conflict. Displaced individuals are highly vulnerable to illness, sexual exploitation, and death.
Our African partners, the Assemblies of God churches in Africa. Numbering close to 90,000, they are God’s instruments for community transformation as they reach out in word and deed. They are continually navigating changing cultures and threats to health and security. They need great wisdom, and they minister in their communities. Pray for AO as we partner with these amazing churches, creatively looking for ways to partner with them and empower them to touch the tangible needs in their communities.
